Axe Fight Pre-Viz

"Pre-visualizations" are rehearsal shoots that capture the concept and execution of any given scene. Watch behind-the-scenes as Andrew Neis coordinates and battles with Katie Kramer (Walking Dead), while director Matthew Salanoa and 2nd Unit Director of Photography Azzrinna Kadri participate in the madness!
On Location Day 4
Featurette
Actress Annamarie MacLeod prepared by taking stage combat training lessons on her own. Andrew Neis brought in weapons specialist Cesar Romero to show Anna-marie the proper sniper form and some basic combat moves. Cesar's moves were incorporated into the beginning of the fight.
Set Life
Featurette
Set Designer Bill Salanoa undertook building a 10 x 5 foot set with a wall of rotating mirrors. Two crew members at a time were required to rotate the mirrors simultaneously. The mirror rotation was inspired by the tunnel scene in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
