Azzrinna Kadri
Executive Producer, 2nd Unit Director of Photography

As executive producer, Azzrinna Kadri bought plane tickets and provided housing to one of our actors. Kadri provided most of the lighting equipment, including large photography lights, black wrap, stands, and sound equipment as well. When she was not working as best boy electric under DP Jessidat Putkaew, Kadri also served as 2nd Unit Director of Photography when Putkaew was unavailable.

Kadri hails from Malaysia where she studied animation and worked at various video agencies. She also attended Academy of Art University.

Bill Salanoa
Set Designer

Bill Salanoa, Matthew Salanoa's father, designed and built the funhouse set over the course of three months. One wall was constructed with four mirrors capable of spinning simultaneously. However, two mirrors on either side required operation by hand crank. The process was so exhausting that the crew could only film a few five minute long takes per spinning scene. Making the mirrors appear to surround the actors in every scene required keeping the camera facing the same direction for the majority of filming, rotating only the actor and the lighting to account for the space. Great work, Bill!

Christopher L. Adams
1st Assistant Director

Christopher L. Adams is a screenwriter, director and comic book writer in his own rite. Adams co-founded Fracture Comics, for which he writes "Death of Darkness" and other titles with his partner Joe Thompson. Adams has been an assistant director and writer for award-winning independent films for years. Adams is also a graduate of Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA.

Paul Zambrano
Sound Designer

Paul Zambrano did sound design for "007: I Only Need One," after director Matthew Salanoa's initial sound pass. Specifically, Zambrano created a unique and terrifying sound for the red light mirror spinning sequence in the opening of the short.

Zambrano is also a composer, currently working on a cyber-punk short, "Binlowe's Locker," written & directed by "007" donor and friend, Andrew James Mitchell. Look for more on Paul's website!

Katie Kramer
Actress, Stunt Woman

Katie Kramer has a growing prolific career as a stunt woman and actress! Most recently she has appeared as a stunt woman in the Seth Rogen comedy, Neighbors 2, and on "The Walking Dead" as a zombie during the mid-season finale! Look for her in Spider-Man: Homecoming!

Before battling Rick, the vampires of the Originals and gravity itself for Seth Rogen, Kramer worked on our humble short, "007: I Only Need One." Kramer was instrumental in forming the fight scenes for "007." She impressed the producer and director so much she went from stunt performer to playing the Phantom Assassin, utilizing her unique abilities. She was fantastic. Check out her workout site, Hiit It Up!

Annamarie MacLeod
Actress

Annamarie MacLeod is an experienced, theater-trained actress who has been on television and in countless independent films. While in college, Salanoa edited a short film starring MacLeod called "Captive." Salanoa was so taken by her performance that he attempted to cast her in two of his short film projects prior to "007: I Only Need One", but both previous attempts failed.

For "007," Annamarie took it upon herself to get stage combat training before coming in for a screen test. She nailed the screen test, handling Andrew's choreography well and received some additional training from Firearms Specialist Cesar Romero for operating a sniper rifle.

Richard Mills
Actor

Richard Mills is new to the acting world, but makes a beautiful, bloody splash into film with his re-imagining of Francisco Scaramanga.

Mills met Salanoa while filming "Inna," a short film directed by mutual friend, Malvina Wong. Salanoa was a creative director at the time, handling communication for Wong, who was also starring in her own short film. Mills was cast as a lowly drug addict who offers crack to Wong's character. Salanoa felt Mills had a strong onscreen presence despite the small screen time and was inspired to cast Mills after seeing an image of Millls wearing one of his classic suits on Facebook. Mills provided his own costume for the short and brough the terror!

Jaime Flores
Actor

Jaime Flores is one of those big, imposing, American sweethearts that you hear about. A big rig driver of many years, Flores got his first role on the independent feature, The Other Barrio. Unfortunately, much of his footage was cut. But fortunately, on this set was a young script supervisor named Matthew J. Salanoa.

Flores had a great look and onscreen presence. Salanoa, again, tried starting projects that could potentially feature Flores, but it was not until "007: I Only Need One" that the attempt would be possible. Flores was a complete professional and took to Neis' choreography incredibly well. He will have a great career and star in Never Let Them See You Bleed!

Aspen Neumann
Actor

Aspen Neumann acted for the first time in a short video series for Jessida Putkaew, in which Putkaew was director and cinematographer. Salanoa had edited this footage, but it never saw the light of day.

Neumann is a long time friend of Andrew Neis, and is often lovingly dubbed, "Little Andrew." It was Neis' suggestion to have Aspen as Nick Nack. Neumann played his character as a fan of Bond's kill count, excited to watch his battle with Scaramanga. Neumann continues to work with Neis. Most recently they have been performing live stunt shows at the Kinetic Arts Center in Oakland, CA. Check out their latest collaboration! This show is called "The Parallel Universe."

Cheryl Choi, Richard Mills and Shingo Brennan (left to right)

Cheryl Choi
Producer, Credited as Casting Assistant

Cheryl Choi is a producer from San Francisco, CA. She also graduated from Academy of Art University, where she met Salanoa, Neis and Putkaew. She assisted with casting extras for the scene in which Bond sees Scaramanga and company on the balcony of the funhouse building. When most of her extras fell through, she donned a black dress, and stole the golden light away from Mills with her beauty.

Fortunately, Shingo Brennan came through and dressed perfectly to appear as Scaramanga's right hand man. Thank you, Cheryl and Shingo, for dressing with style and class for our humble short film!
